Matthew R. Mervis, M.D., is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and has practiced in Orlando since 1989. In addition to high and low risk obstetrics and general gynecology, Dr. Mervis has a special interest in office based hysteroscopic surgery.
Dr. Mervis received his undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences at The University of Michigan (Go Blue!), and then went on to receive his medical degree from The University of Michigan. Dr. Mervis completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Florida, and is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Mervis focuses his medical practice on general obstetrics and gynecology, including routine obstetric care, high-risk pregnancy care, well-women care, and family planning. Dr. Mervis specializes in in-office hysteroscopy, and routinely performs in-office Essure implants for sterilization and in-office endometrial ablations for relief from abnormal bleeding.
Michael C. Bartfield, M.D., has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Orlando since 1998, and is a founding associate of PrimeOBGYN. He is a fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and diplomate of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Bartfield earned his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, where he served as chief administrative resident.
Dr. Bartfield’s expertise lies in general and high-risk obstetrics, general gynecology, female preventive medicine, and in-office procedures. He directs the office ultrasound department and performs obstetric nuchal translucency ultrasound interpretation.
Dr. Bartfield has served as the chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies since 2021.
PrimeOBGYN is located just South of Downtown Orlando, and the practice performs hospital surgery and deliveries exclusively with Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
